CHESTNUT GROVE is based on my personal experience of quarantine and features 100% real documents and notices.




CHESTNUT GROVE is a short first-person experience, created to document the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic through a personal lens. This game is a short walking simulator with some light puzzles and can usually be completed within 30 minutes.

It's the first game project by Philip Drobar. Version 1.0 was released on August 31st, 2020  on the Game Platform. An updated version on of the game will release on Steam on January 23rd, 2023.

Contact / About the Developer

Philip Drobar was born in Austria and emigrated to Canada in 2017. While mostly working in the Film and TV Industry, he always had a passion for video games. Not content with just writing and playing them, he started learning Unity engine. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the feeling of self isolation inspired him to his first game, CHESTNUT GROVE. Using real-life notices and documents and his own experiences, CHESTNUT GROVE expresses and at the same time helped him cope with life during the pandemic.
